MALI : Mossadeck Bally defends business community against Goïta’s junta

Calm has been restored at the Conseil National du Patronat du Mali (CNPM) in Bamako since the powerful businessman, Mossadeck Bally, became its chairman on 1 October 2022. The new head of the national employers’ association won 117 votes out of a total 129 after intense lobbying in his favour by businessman Ibrahima Diawara and Bally’s brother-in-law and close friend Houd Ould Baby, who heads the hotel and gas distribution
